We recognise that preparing for the 11+ tests can be an anxious time for your child, so we’ve designed a fresh, immersive and engaging curriculum to take the fear away.
We like to think that we do things a little differently. Our program is a move away from the classic stereotypes of what tuition once was and instead steps into the future, where the best of in-person instruction and online support and consolidation meet seamlessly.
We set out to create an experience that children would not only enjoy, but that is packed with research-backed features to help super- charge their preparation.

All material is presented to the children in the style and the format of the tests, from day one. This is designed to limit anxiety and provide the opportunity to develop familiarity and comfort with both the style and content of the test questions.

We believe that learning should take place both in sessions and at home. Our comprehensive home-learning program perfectly compliments the live sessions by providing daily opportunities for children to practise and consolidate concepts learnt in session. Short, daily activities are delivered right to their inbox and instant feedback makes the whole process incredibly powerful.
FEEDBACK
FOR ALL
Timely and specific feedback is a powerful tool for ensuring that both children and their parents are kept up-to-date with their progress. We believe that an open line of communication and fully transparent opportunities to share thoughts, problems and successes, is the best way to build confidence and to break down any potential learning barriers. Time for feedback is always prioritised and highly encouraged.
SMALL-GROUP SESSIONS
Great things happen in small groups! Working in groups is brilliant for building confidence and for taking away the potential intimidation of traditional 1-to-1 tutoring. We deliberately scale the number of children in each session to a maximum of 8. This allows the teacher ample opportunity to address each child individually and to respond to their needs accordingly .
WE EMBRACE
TECHNOLOGY
Technology is the perfect supporting character in our teaching process. Children will be given a direct link to their teacher, classmates and extra information via the Google Classroom LMS. Combined with daily activities to be completed online, we are ensuring that all children have access to high quality teaching, support and feedback, right at their fingertips!

Though a number of hands help to steer this ship, Josh Varley is the lead designer and head educator of the Prepwell Program.
Josh is an experienced primary school teacher and has been working in education for close to a decade. With a passion for unlocking potential and providing an encouraging voice, Josh is well-versed in preparing children for the 11+ tests. Having been directly involved in the preparation of well over one-hundred children, Josh has a unique insight into what is required to help children to thrive and to succeed.
Safe-guarding of children is at the heart of everything Prepwell does. For the safety of all children and to ensure the highest levels of quality and compliance, Josh is:
- A fully qualified teacher with QTS

- Pediatric first-aid certified
- A voluntary member of the Ofsted Childcare Register
